{Project 52, Week 1} | Fulton/Montgomery Lifestyle Photography

This year, rather than the 3.6.5. project (which I completed, by the way….just sayin’.) I decided to go with something a little simpler; a 52 week project with a different theme each week….and a second project, but that one will remain nameless for the moment, because I’m not quite ready to share, though that will be a weekly project as well. This week’s theme is given to me by this great facebook fan page devoted specifically to this project and the photographers that are attempting it (you can view said page by clicking here ) Anyway….back onto the point; This week’s theme!

This week the project was to capture images ‘through the window’, so this one was pretty broad as far as what could be done, and it’s all about personal perspective. With that thought in mind, here is what I’ve come up with! Rather than capture people or things through a window, I used the window as my (completely overwhelming) background and went with silhouettes of my two favorite subjects; the little humans! Now, without further adu, here is sweet Toes and Miss Amazing giving their silhouettes to me this afternoon!

Presenting Mr. & Mrs. Wager |{Wedding}| Fulton County Wedding Photography

Meghan and Zack were married in a beautiful ceremony in a stunning church on November 20th, 2010. I was super, SUPER fortunate to have the amazingly talented Sarah King of Capturing Fireflies Photography in Central PA. here to join me as my second shooter for this event. She is SUCH an amazing photographer (not to mention a SUPER great friend) and she helped me SO much for this exciting event in Meghan and Zack’s life.

Ok; back to the important people; the bride and groom! They are such a beautiful, and best of all SUPER fun couple!! Meghan is a classic beauty, and she was just SO stunning in her gown. The reception was elegant, and SUPER lively! Here are a few selected highlights from their joyous day! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Wager; may your love be long-lived and enduring, and may your family be filled with love!

Amber & Christian |{E-Session}| Saratoga County Lifestyle Photography

Amber and Christian were just the most adorable couple to photograph! They are so in love, and it’s so evident in the way that they pick on each other. These two were truly comfortable with each other, and the love that they share shine through so beautifully with their personalities! I enjoyed them so much, and can’t wait to have the opportunity to shoot them again! (Fun side note; Amber is also good friends with/maid of honor for my last bride of the year who you’ll see featured soon on my site.)

Jonelle & Wes | {Montgomery County Wedding Photography}

Jonelle and Wes were married in a VERY intimate ceremony in Amsterdam, NY on November 12th. I had the pleasure of capturing their special event, and I have to say; the bride was SO beautiful! Even in tears during the ceremony she looked stunning. You could absolutely see the love this couple shares every time they looked at one another (which was almost constantly!) Here are a few moments from their special day. Congratulations, Jonelle and Wes; may your love endure and last and flourish for years and years. <3[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2" orderby="title"]

{The Rockstar}

This past Saturday I had the privilege of shooting aspiring rock star Chris Cernak. He plays locally here in NY, and is in the process of getting together an album. He contacted me about doing some photos for his album, and I jumped at the chance! What a great time I had shooting this total rock star! Not only is Chris SUPER talented, he’s also a super nice, normal guy who not only covers some awesome classic rock beautifully, he also writes his own music (!)

Here are a few of my favorite moments from my shoot with Chris; The ROCK STAR!

“These are days you’ll remember…” | Jen & Maddie

“Never before and never since, I promise
will the whole world be warm as this…

and as you feel it, you’ll know it’s true
that you are blessed and lucky.

it’s true, that you are touched by something
that will grow and bloom in you.

These are days you’ll remember.

when May is rushing over you with desire
to be part of the miracles you see in every hour

you’ll know it’s true, that you are blessed and lucky
it’s true, that you are touched by something

that will grow and bloom in you.

these are the days
that you might fill with laughter
until you break.

these days you might feel a shaft of light
make its way across your face
and when you do,

you’ll know how it was meant to be
see the signs and know their meaning.

you’ll know how it was meant to be
hear the signs and
know they’re speaking to you
to you.”

A Party In Pink

As we all know by now, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month; there are events and fundraisers all over the place to raise money for a cure we all know is necessary to save Boobies all across the country. This is a cause very near and dear to me; for the past 5 years my step-grandmother has been battling this very disease, and I can not adequately express in words just how important it is to be aware; mammograms, monthly self-checks, and regular doctor visits are important, and early detection is KEY! Keep feelin’ those boobies, ladies, and in the mean time, enjoy these captures from our Party In Pink; Zumba for the Cure!  (Special thanks to the Fulton County YMCA for letting me capture this event, and Heather Abraham from Beau Monde Progressive Hair Studio for putting this all together.) I think her theory really sums this up nicely;

“Because I have been given much… I too, must give.”

Jill and Brad Saunders | 10.10.10

On Sunday, October 10th I had the pleasure of photographing an old friend’s wedding. Jill and I met in high school; we went to church school together back in the day, so all these years later, I was so thrilled when they asked me to capture their special day. Jill and Brad were married in a beautiful ceremony in an old (closed!) Catholic church.

Here are a few select moments from their special day.

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Davis! | 10.9.2010

Now, going into this past week, I woke up to day after day after day of rain. Seriously. It rained from Monday until Thursday last week, and not only was I about ready to build an arc, I was also freaking out about the weather. The weather men were promising that by the weekend, the weather was going to be beautiful, but we all know how often they’re right! So, the week went on, and the rain kept falling, and I just kept right on preparing for the two (!!) weddings I had to shoot this weekend; finishing props, and finding ribbons, and making my list of important shots to get, and we were all handsomely rewarded with one of the most beautiful fall weekends we’ve had here so far in beautiful Upstate New York.

Here are a few select moments of Ed and Danielle’s big day. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Davis; here’s wishing you a lifetime of happiness and love with your beautiful family.
