My entire life I’ve been an observer; always on the sidelines, longing to create; to find an adequate way to say the things that need to be said. Then, I stumbled across photography, and BAM! Just like that, the bug had bitten me. In the beginning, after my daughter was born, it was a way to avoid the ‘typical’ studio photography that seems to be everywhere. To me, those places seemed pushy and impersonal, and just all around lacked creativity.
There had to be a better way. And thus, Saratography was born.
It’s been (nearly) 4 years now, but still, being in charge of my creative destiny is a heady thing. I am humbled to have the chance to live my dream in so many ways. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to share what I see with you, both through custom on-location portrait sessions, and with my custom fine-art prints. Remember, the goal is simple;
Find Beauty Everywhere!

Momma of two super-cool little humans (Miss Amazing and Toesy), two furry-humans (Cliffy the Cat and Bob The Dog) and wife of Mr. Amazing, this girl has got it pretty darn good. I am most often found with my camera and a giant cup of coffee in hand, chasing those two little humans around on one adventure or another.
I am a flip-flop-wearing, music listening, wine drinking, art loving, blue-jean-wearing girl. When I say flip-flop wearing, I mean from March/April through about November I rock those suckers. Usually in bright pink or silver. (hehehe) and when I say music listening, it should really say music-living. There is no part of my day that isn’t filled with music, whether it’s my husband and children playing and singing, or pandora running in the background, my day revolves around music.
The little humans are both in school full-time now, which lends itself well to me actually getting a work day in, and gives us all just enough space to really appreciate each other when we’re together. We’re livin’ the dream here, with just enough space for some chickens and a super-big veggie garden, and room for the humans (and animals) to run. ♥
